1. Who We Are

Content Creation OS is a personal online business based in the Republic of South Africa. We are committed to protecting your personal information and complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

2. What We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.

Usage data: Topics you submit for content generation and your monthly usage count (to enforce plan limits).

Subscription data: Your plan tier and PayPal subscription ID. We do not store your payment card details these remain with PayPal.

Technical data: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) used for security and troubleshooting only.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Content Creation OS service
  • To enforce usage limits per your subscription plan
  • To process and manage your PayPal subscription
  • To send important account and service notifications
  • To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
  • To generate anonymous aggregate statistics for internal business purposes

4. Third-Party Services

We share data only as necessary with these trusted providers:

  • Google: For authentication via OAuth. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase: Our database provider. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • Anthropic (Claude AI): Your submitted topics are sent to Anthropic's API to generate content. Governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
  • PayPal: For payment processing. We share only your email address to match subscriptions. PayPal's Privacy Policy applies to all payment data.
  • Netlify: Web hosting provider. Governed by Netlify's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (session management via NextAuth.js). We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from signing in.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption. We implement appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Usage logs are retained for up to 12 months. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

8. Your Rights Under POPIA

As a data subject under POPIA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to the processing of your information
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za)

9. PayPal & Payment Privacy

All payment information is handled exclusively by PayPal. We never see or store your card number, bank account details, or PayPal password. PayPal's full privacy policy is available at paypal.com/privacy. To manage or cancel your subscription, log in directly to your PayPal account.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us immediately and we will delete the data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
